Alongside at the village quay. A few quiet minutes on deck before lunch — the reach at Rosendal is one of the calmest waters on the coast.
- 03Lunch on board
A Vestland spread laid on the aft deck at the quay — cold plates and warm dishes, buffet-style, help yourself. Upgrade to the Fjellskaal seafood box on request.
- 04Ashore · the Barony
A short walk up to the Rosendal Barony estate and its garden — the oldest in Norway, still tended by hand — with your guide. Guests who prefer not to walk are met at the quay by a private driver who takes you up the hill and back.
- 05Return passage
West out of Hardanger, then north into Bjørnafjord. Optional swim stop at Halsnøy in season.

Fjellskaal seafood box
Trade the standard lunch spread for the Fjellskaal seafood box — a signature Vestland selection prepared by our house purveyor. Hand-picked shellfish, langoustines, cured salmon and cold sides, arriving at the quay ready to lay out on the aft deck.

The practical
side of the day.
- Weather
- The captain decides on safety. A charter cancelled by us for weather is fully refunded, or rebooked to the season of your choice at no additional cost.
- Cancellation
- Cancellations thirty or more days before departure are refunded in full less deposit. Within thirty days, we hold the deposit against a rescheduled date at your convenience.
- Children
- Children of all ages are welcome. We keep a small selection of life vests aboard sized from age three, and adjust the day’s rhythm around younger guests.
- Dietary requirements
- Share allergies, preferences and celebrations at time of booking. Our galley works with them — including for the Fjellskaal seafood-box upgrade.
- Adjusting the route
- The rhythm is set, but the details are not. Tell us at booking or on the day itself — the captain and guide adjust to weather, tide, and mood.
- Departure
- Departures leave Bryggen between 08:00 and 10:00 by arrangement.
